Solar Installer
Full-time · Bellefonte, PA · $22–$32 per hour
About the role
We need people who like working with their hands, aren't afraid of heights, and want to learn a trade that's growing. Sun Directed has been installing solar in Central PA since 2008, and we're a Tesla Certified Installer.
You'll be part of our field crew, installing solar and battery systems on homes, businesses and farms. You'll work on both the mechanical side and the electrical side, so you learn the whole system and not just one piece of it. We train you on new products and on safety, so you don't need to know solar already. If you know roofing, construction or electrical work, you'll pick it up fast and you'll start higher on the pay range.
Most jobs are within an hour of the shop in Bellefonte, so you're home most nights.

What you bring
- Valid driver's license
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work outside in heat, cold and rain
- Comfortable on ladders and roof edges while harnessed
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Pass a background check and random drug testing
- Nice to have: construction or roofing experience, AC/DC wiring, NABCEP or other solar training
